RECREATING A LOOK

26 June 2019

Do you ever find yourself quite influenced by someone online and you find that you need to buy literally every single thing from a persons outfit right that very second? Thats me, especially with this outfit on todays post!

Instagram tends to be the place I always browse and seek inspiration for outfits, I follow so many cute as hell people with likeminded fashion tastes, and some not likeminded styles which I would love to dabble in. It's my first stop for style inspiration then followed by general browsing sites for new arrivals, and I love a good Depop browse for some well loved items! An Instagram I follow is that of @munasheashlyn who is literal fashion. goals. Every single outfit she shares has some detail that I want or would love to recreate, then each shot is done well and every picture has a little something different about it. (This is definitely a plug to go follow her also, so go go go!)

My absolute dream favourite outfit she has shared consists of this zebra print dress, mesh top and chunky belt combo. The way she styled it was with classic converse and fluffy jacket, which in itself looks amazing and I immediately knew I needed the dress and belt ASAP! Both items were available on ASOS so in the blink of an eye they were in my basket and paid for quicker than I realised what I was doing.

As we all know, I'm a lover of giving an outfit a 'grunge' kick to it. Which for me comes in the form of boots... and black on black on black. The weathers been pretty warm so I went for chunky boots but left out the fishnets and leather jacket, which is my normal go-to when its not warm as hell. It all tied together well just as it was. I love how adding the belt breaks up the print in the dress a little bit, plus it adds a little more detail to the outfit without overdoing it.  Oh my word this outfit makes me feel super sassy! Also, if you like a lot of the looks I style then I highly recommend going on ASOS and shopping through the Collusion range, it is where this amazing dress is from but they have some amazing stuff, it's all very affordable and really good for sizing.

It feels good to slowly be easing myself back into taking blog photos and writing content for it too, in my last post Starting From The Beginning I touched on putting no pressure on myself when it comes to Sister Of The Moon, as I really want to start enjoying creating again, without it feeling like a chore. It's a shame it's been absolutely bucketing it down for most of my free time, so outfit shots have a been a no-go!
