I wouldn't say that I'm a loner, I have friends dotted about here and there and I've made so many friends through blogging too. However, I wouldn't say that I have a particular group of friends (or 'girl gang') to go to either!

Life has been like this since school, I mean, I had a group of friends but seemed to prefer alone time and staying at home often. I didn't go out with friends often, and mainly saw my group of friends only at school. This never meant I was unhappy, I don't mind my own company and spending time at home reading books or watching TV. People did notice that I didn't go out and about with friends often, I always did tend to have an excuse ready for when I was asked questions, kind of odd really, but also perfectly fine too.

I think for me, the main reason why I've settled down and accepted the idea of not having a girl gang is because I now feel comfortable enough being alone that I don't need to rely on others for certain things, such as opinions and advice on things. I have my sister and my boyfriend, and both of them are always around me if I need them for anything. But like I said, I do have friends. Just not that immediate group of girls around me to spend time with.

Every now and again thoughts do cross my mind about what it would be like to have a group of friends constantly there for me, together. To do things with and have little things such as inside jokes and stuff (sad, I know). But then I try and remind myself that I have come this far without a big group around me, and with the handful of friends that I do have. And that it is perfectly fine to not be an 'over the top' people person, and to want to be alone a lot!

If you didn't see my last post about Fast Fashion, the Environment and Me one of the things I'm aiming to do on Sister Of The Moon is restyle items for blog posts, I've been feeling a little nervous about doing so, so I thought I would try something easier to start off with! I don't often style trousers at all on my blog but one time I did was for the My Style Has Come Full Circle post, so I thought check trousers are an easy item for styling multiple looks with and here I am.

In typical British fashion, I'm going to mention the weather! Lately, it has been absolutely freezing. Cold to the point that makes me reevaluate all my fashion choices, most of them are just oversized hoodies and leggings. Anything more daring kind of becomes a no go out of fear of becoming a human shaped icicle. This means I am unearthing my very small collection of woolly jumpers, yay! One of my favourite jumpers is this oversized roll neck beauty, if it was a couple of inches longer it could've been passed off as a dress which I'd prefer... but alas here it is in all it's snuggly glory! I love how it looks with the slim leg trousers underneath, paired with a pair of Docs for a little bit more 'me' to the outfit!

  1. I love this post! Like you, I have no problem being on my own. I'm an only child so I've always been used to my own company. I feel like everybody goes on about having a girl gang or a tribe but it's okay to go it alone. Having friends is obviously important but living your own life is equally as! Congrats on your 100th post too!

  2. We're kindred spirits my babe, let's be alone together soon! xxx
