Do you ever just find that your wardrobe seems to mainly revolve around one particular thing? For me it's stripes. In particular, striped tshirts. One of the things I want to do is get other styles of striped items involved, so I've been keeping my eye out whenever I've been browsing stores and day-to-day at work, too.

I originally thought of going on the hunt for striped trousers, but it did occur to me that I own a pair of black and white stripe culottes and it's not often I wear them. So I thought I'd focus my attention on other styles instead and I had seen the playsuit featured in todays post on a suggested add (thank you FBI for reading my thoughts) and it was a "I love it but it has no sleeves and I have bingo wings" sort of thing, yes bingo wings. So that was a no go and I left it at that. It wasn't until my work had it in that I actually gave it a second chance, I'm glad I did!

I'm a sucker for playsuits, I don't own many because getting practically naked whenever you need the toilet isn't something I want to deal with regularly however I do love how flattering they are! Playsuits with an elasticated waistline are so good for bringing you in at the waist and accentuating your curves and I am here for that, so is my confidence too. Although I have a thing for loose fitted playsuits which make you feel like you are practically in your pyjamas while being out and about. Ultimate comfort forever, right!?

As I previously mentioned, I was slightly put off from buying this playsuit thanks to the lack of sleeves it has, sleeveless items and vests very rarely make an appearance in my wardrobe as I don't have much confidence when it comes to showing the top of my arms. But with occasional hot days coming and going I thought you know what, I'm going to just try no sleeves and if I don't like it, I will sell it on Depop or donate it in.  To my surprise I actually feel more comfortable with no sleeves, not completely comfortable, but better.

The best thing about playsuits is the versatility of them, you can dress a playsuit up or down for an occasion by either keeping it casual, or adding a bit of glam for an event or a night out. A lot of the time, style for me is all about keeping it casual and comfortable. This is what I've aimed for with this outfit but I still felt really cute and I've brought a more 'me' outfit to summer style. I instantly thought of throwing on my yellow denim jacket with this playsuit but I wanted to keep it minimal colour wise so my choice of lipstick could be the only pop of colour for the look. Add fishnet tights and Dr Martens which seems to be my most worn combination, and bam! Super cute casual outfit with the cutest playsuit ever.
