I am constantly on the look out for new styles to try out, I sort of take pride in styling new things and I wouldn't even say that I dress in any particular 'style' any more. And for today's post I've, yet again, styled something thats quite new to me!

It may be hard to believe that one of my favourite colours is pink... it's a shock to the system I know but I love it and I feel that it compliments my skin tone and hair colour well, it has been one of my favourite colours since I was younger, recently I even styled a Pretty In Pink blog post that is very much pink orientated, what can I say?! I'm a sucker for it. I'm not even bothered about straying from the *goth girl* look I wear daily, spring is on it's way and despite black being slimming, I may push it to the side a little and make room for cute colourful things. Maybe.

As well as my new found love for buying all things pink, I've also had my eye on the paper bag waist trend, I work in H&M and we stock a lot of trousers with these sort of details but I've been putting off buying anything for a long time as a) I don't wear trousers that much and b) I didn't feel like they were very flattering for my curvy figure. But yes all this changed because these beauties, which were only fifteen pounds!!! in the sale, caught my eye. I took the risk and bought them without trying them on, and they arrived and they fit perfect. I have quite short legs but these trousers are cropped and they fit nicely, normally cropped trousers actually come up normal length on me, short leg problems.

I had originally planned to style these trousers with a velvet frilly bardot top dreams, which if you follow me on instagram I posted a picture with both of the items on so you may know what I'm talking about. However, it's really bloody cold outside so I had to think realistically and I thought you know what, the trousers would look really cute with a black and white striped top. And they do! I haven't worn this long sleeve top with frill detail in such a long time, so it's back out to play and it really suits the trousers.

To stick to the black white and pink theme of this outfit I of course had to wear my all time favourite platform Vans, I really do feel like these shoes are so versatile. On one hand I love wearing them on dress down days when I feel like dressing like a tom boy, but they also look really good with a more nice put together outfit! I can't wait for spring time when I can style them with floral dresses and fishnet tights too.

I honestly feel super cute in this outfit and with my new shorter hair too, we actually took over 50 images and it was so hard to narrow it down to enough for a blog post but we managed it, and I'm so happy with how they all turned out. I feel like its good to venture out and try new styles, at first I was very nervous about these trousers as they show every lump, bump and even your underwear if you don't choose colours wisely, but they have grown on me.

(Unfortunately the trousers have sold out in the sale now, however they have brought them out again in the new season!)
